Our Mission

Stuarts Draft Retirement Community is built on faith, family, and service. Since opening our doors in 1998, we’ve made it our mission to treat every resident with dignity, respect, and compassion—just as we would our own loved ones.

Meet the Team

We’re a family-run community led by lifelong residents of the Shenandoah Valley. Our staff includes licensed nurses, experienced caregivers, and service professionals who know your name—and genuinely care.

David Brenneman

David Brenneman has been part of the SDRC family for many years and is passionate about serving residents, families, and team members each day. He enjoys welcoming new residents and helping them discover a community built on genuine relationships, which he believes is what makes SDRC truly unique. David leads with integrity, service, and stewardship, knowing these values create lasting relationships and a strong foundation for the future. His vision is to continue expanding the services and opportunities available to both residents and staff, ensuring SDRC remains a place where people feel supported, connected, and at home. Outside of work, David enjoys preaching and teaching, hiking with his wife and four children, training for sprint triathlons, and spending time with his family and their energetic dog.

Jon Dooley has a heart for people and a passion for building meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members. He values the family atmosphere that makes SDRC so special and believes that trust, patience, and simply showing up for others are at the center of exceptional care. With experience in healthcare, physical therapy, and personal training, Jon brings both professional expertise and genuine compassion to his role. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, exercising, and participating in local races with his family.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children and making memories together.

Carrie Marshall is passionate about creating an environment where residents feel safe, respected, and truly at home. She enjoys mentoring caregivers and building lasting relationships with residents and their families. Carrie believes exceptional care means treating each resident with the same love and compassion you would show your own family. Her leadership and dedication have helped foster a culture of excellence and compassion throughout the community. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, yoga, raising barnyard chickens, and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.

He especially enjoys the conversations and friendships he builds with residents throughout the day and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Known for being approachable and dependable, Scott is committed to ensuring SDRC remains a place residents are proud to call home. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, following sports, and working on his Jeep.

Ginger Rowe brings creativity, joy, and a faith-filled spirit to the Independent Living community. She considers planning activities and decorating spaces her dream job and loves creating experiences that bring residents together and give them something to look forward to. Ginger has a special passion for hosting tea parties, which have become a beloved tradition and a favorite among many residents. Inspired by memories of her grandmother, she strives to create meaningful moments, encourage friendships, and make every resident feel at home. Her warmth and creativity help turn ordinary days into memorable ones.

Cindy Houff believes some of life's sweetest moments happen around the table. She loves bringing residents together through meals that provide comfort, conversation, and connection and enjoys seeing friends and families gather to share stories over good food. Working alongside her brother and being part of such a close-knit community are among her favorite parts of SDRC. Whether preparing resident favorites or introducing something new, Cindy strives to create meals that make everyone feel at home. Outside the kitchen, she enjoys knitting and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Sylvia Cline
