Leland Brenneman has 20 years of experience managing Christian Human Service Organizations, and is committed to excellence in elderly care. Leland purchased the business and property in 1996 and grew the business into the lively, active community it is today. Leland’s vision for a full-service senior care community became reality over the next several years.
Leland and his wife, Tanya Brenneman, have served the community since day 1 and continue to fill fundamental roles operating and managing life at Stuarts Draft Retirement Community.

Rodney has a heart for ministry to the elderly and ensures the highest quality of assisted living care for each resident that joins our community. A father to 4 beautiful girls, Rodney values family and understands the important role family plays in the lives of each of our residents.
Rodney grew up in the local community and coached the varsity basketball team at Waynesboro High School before joining our team in 1998 as a business partner and administrator. The Martin family is also very involved in Young Life, a local ministry to high school students.

Kathy is a licensed Assisted Living Administrator whose 15 years of experience provide a solid foundation for both the staff and residents in our community. Kathy’s passion for excellence and quality ensures the highest standards for service, safety and quality.
Jenny Yancey R.N.
Director of Nursing
20 years of experience in health care with 6 years as Director of Nursing.
Jenny is a registered nurse and manages a professional team of mature, experienced, certified nursing assistants in order to provide the highest quality of care for the Assisted Living residents. Jenny develops personal care plans for each resident and oversees daily life to ensure each resident and their families' needs are met
Jenny is a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience in elderly care. We welcome Jenny back to our community where she has served for many years. Jenny goes to church with and works very closely with Dr. Hatter to oversee the care of our residents.
Director of Marketing
6 years of public relations and marketing experience
David grew up in the community and recently joined the management team as director of marketing after graduating from Asbury University with a degree in Public Relations. David has many years of experience working with branding, advertising and design, and marketing.
David continues to learn about the operation of the family business and enjoys studying under and working with his father, Leland Brenneman. David has a wife and a lovely daughter who both enjoy visiting our community for Hymn Sing and other activities.

A certified activities director and ordained minister, Karen coordinates social, spiritual and cultural activities for both the Assisted Living and Independent Living residents. Karen’s zest for life, and her love for each resident are apparent as she not only plans activities, but also joins in the fun.
Karen works closely with our residents to ensure their mental, social and physical wellbeing. Karen is often in the activity room with Wii Bowling or in the Friendship Hall playing games with the residents.
Dr. Dennis Hatter
On Call Doctor
50 years at Stuarts Draft Family Practice
Dr. Hatter has been our community doctor from the very start of the business. Dr. Hatter knows each assisted living resident personally as well as professional and has served the greater community for 50 years at Stuarts Draft Family Practice. Jenny and Dr. Hatter are an inseparable team and work tirelessly to ensure the health and physical wellbeing of all the residents in our community.
Dr. Hatter takes an annual mission trip to Haiti, serving as the team doctor. The team travels around the country offering medical assistance to those in need.
